Popular South Indian actor Sarathkumar has been advised bed rest for a month by his doctors, after he was injured on Monday on the sets of Kannada film Sarathi, directed by K.S. Selvaraj with Kannada actor Darshan and Sneha in prominent roles.
Sarathkumar suffered a hip fracture while performing a daring action scene near Puducherry. According to reports, the actor was thrown off a horse and was immediately admitted to a private hospital.
The president of South Indian Film Artistes Association was later shifted to a Chennai hospital. "There is nothing to worry about his health condition. He will be perfectly alright soon," a hospital source said.
