Shankar IPS to delete controversial dialogues


Duniya Vijay starrer Kannada movie Shankar IPS has resumed its screening after the Bangalore City Civil Court ordered producer K Manju to delete the controversial dialogues on Monday. The Sixth City Civil and Sessions Court of Bangalore had issued a stay order against the screening of the movie on Saturday.

Shankar IPS had allegedly used derogatory language against the judicial system of India. A few dialogues in the movie had insulted the system by branding lawyers as brokers and courts as markets. Irked by this, the Advocates' Association had approached the court requesting to stop the screening of the film. So the court had issued a temporary stay order to banning its screening till June 05.

On Monday, producer K Manju accepted the allegations made by the Advocates' Association. So the court ordered him to delete the controversial dialogues of the film Shankar IPS. It also ordered him to beg the apology of the Association before the media.

However, Shankar IPS is currently being screened through out the state. But the deletion of the scandalous dialogues will be done within a couple of days. The Advocates' Association has already watched the film at Renukamba Mini Theatre in Malleshwaram, Bangalore and made its suggestions.
