Over 1,000 pirated CDs seized in raid


Over 1,000 pirated video CDs of new Malayalam and Tamil movies were seized in a raid conducted by the shadow wing of the city police in Kochi on Monday. An official release said that Mariyappan, son of Muthuswami, Ayappasadanam Veedu, Kalamassery, was arrested in connection with the incident.

The accused had the CDs of Malayalam films Janakan, Bodyguard, Parleri Manikyam: Oru Pathirakolapathakathinte Katha, Yugapurushan and Robinhood. Tamil movie CDs included the latest flicks Sura and Vettaikaran.
