Film Actor Thilakan back to drama field


Thilakan was a drama artiste before entering the tinsel world. Four decades after he is going back to drama field. He announced the decision on Saturday at Kodungallur at T.N. Kumaran award distribution function. Thilakan said, he wanted him to be known more as a drama artistise than a film actor. ``An actor should have strength to raise his voice against wrong deeds. But there is no such freedom in Malayalam film industry. Many persons who do not have talent in acting are seen revolving around the superstars as satellites'', he added. P.K Medhini presented the T.N Kumaran memory award to Nilambur Aysha. The award was instituted by `Ranjini' in memory of T.N. Kumaran, a freedom fighter and social woker. K.G. Sivanandan presided over the function.
