We know about actor Simbu's multiple talents and have to appreciate him for trying to expand his knowledge about various aspects of cinema. One thing that has managed to get approval from many is his singing. Simbu has not only sung songs in his own movies, but has also sung for others. Now he is all set to thrill us again in Thillalangadi as a singer.
Simbu has sung a song composed by Yuvanshankar Raja in Jayam Ravi's Thillalangadi, directed by M. Raja and produced by Ravi's father editor Mohan. Reportedly, director Raja requested Yuvan to compose a song on the lines of 'Kozhi Veda Kozhi' from Something Something Unakum Enakum. When Yuvan finished composing the song, actor Ravi suggested Simbu's name as singer.
Now we hear that the multi-talented Simbu has finished the recording in three hours and the crew is happy with the outcome. The actor has rendered 'Patta Patta Pattapuchi' which is expected to be a breathtaking peppy number. To make it more exciting, director Raja plans to erect a grand set to picturise this fast beat number.
Thillalangadi is a remake of the super hit Telugu movie Kick. Jayam Ravi and Tamannaah plays the lead roles and Shaam reprises his role from the original. Ravi has returned to his chocolate boy look after donning an action hero's look in Peranmai. This is Ravi's first film after his marriage. Prabhu and Suhasini play pivotal roles. Vadivelu provides comic relief. Music is scored by Yuvanshankar Raja.
