Allu Arjun's latest film Varudu, which was planned to reach theatres on March 26, has been reportedly postponed to April 2 as the crew has to finish a song under the direction of Gunasekhar.
The shooting was temporarily halted after Allu Arjun suffered an injury to his left hand while taking part in action scenes and was advised rest for a few days. Some say the ongoing Indian Premiere League could be another reason for the postponement of the release.
Produced by D.V.V. Danayya under the banner of Universal Media, the film recently did good business when its satellite rights were bagged by Gemini TV for Rs. 3.5 crores. Owing to his reigning popularity in Kerala with all his Telugu films finding success with his Malayalee fans, Varudu will also have simultaneous release in major centres in Kerala.
