Konkona Sen Sharma enjoyed playing two wicked women!: Two time National Award winner Konkona Sen Sharma states that she enjoyed playing the role of a sexually aggressive women in “Mirch”.

Konkona told, “The roles that I get offered are very good and of serious women who are morally upright, righteous and honest. But I was dying to do this one (Mirchroles).”

Konkona who turned 31 recently states “These women have an element of wickedness which I really enjoy playing. For that matter I enjoyed playing two wicked women in the movie.”

Konkona further added “I am actually on a break. I won’t be starting anything new till the half of next year.”

The actress said further, “So as of now, I have Mirch and Iti Mrinalini releasing this year and I’ve done a cameo in Saat Khoon Maaf.”

While ‘Iti Mrinalini’ describes the life of an actress named Mrinalini, the younger being played by Konkona Sen Sharma and the older version by her mother Aparna Sen, Mirch is a more coming of age film which deals on a variety of topics relevant in a woman’s life including her sex life. Asked as to whether she does not feel that such bold cinema is still not accepted in Indian society, Konkona promptly replies that movie goers have evolved and are comfortable with sex on screen.

After Mirch and ‘Iti Mrinalini’ it will be no work and only rest for the dusky Bong beauty. Yes, she is expecting her first child with actor husband Ranvir Shorey and will thus not be seen in film sets until the middle of next year. Marriage has not changed her much, stresses Konkona Sen Sharma, so will being a mother bring any change? To get that answer we will have to wait for a while longer, just like we will have to wait to watch Konkona on screen again.

The two were spotted at a screening at Ketnav theatre earlier this month and Koko's baby bump was visible and the woman was glowing. Sources say that the actress, a frequent smoker and tippler gave up alcohol in July.

Konkona may also not attend the Cairo International Film Festival later this month with mother Aparna Sen, where her film Iti Mrinalini premieres.

Aparna plans to join her daughter in January. Koko delivers in March 2011 in Mumbai. Sensharma has already sworn off films for the time being.
