Sussanne and Gauri to start joint venture of

Wives of Bollywood’s A-list stars, Gauri Khan and Suzzane Roshan might soon become partners in business. If buzz is to be believed, Sussanne and Gauri are planning to start a new joint venture of designing homes.

According to a source, “Sussanne is all set to start her own one-stop shop for interior design in Andheri. Meanwhile Gauri Khan, who is rather close to her, has been planning to work along with Sussanne. Apparently, both of them have already designed the home of a major businessman.”

The source further adds, “The duo had first collaborated when Sussanne was designing Mannat and Gauri had given quite a few creative inputs.”

Both SRK and Hrithik, who were once known to be major rivals, are now the best of friends and hang out at each others’ homes. SRK also loved Hrithik’s performance in Guzaarish and had invited him over to his house where both of them were seen hanging out last week.

Kiran Rao shifts focus to small screen

Okay guys! Do Not go by the title… Kiran rao, the very talented wife of Aamir Khan, is planning to make a film on the world of Indian reality shows, that have made stars like Rakhi Sawant.

According to a source, Kiran was struck with this idea after the incident when a man from Jhansi committed suicide on being called impotent by Rakhi on her show Rakhi Ka Insaaf. Well, the fact that Rakhi owes her name, fame and career to reality shows, and there are many wannabe’s around the globe who are fascinated about participating in these reality shows so that they also have their share of fame on TV, cannot be changed.

The first-time director has already earned the name of being a sensitive, realistic filmmaker.

Mean while, Kiran’s Dhobi Ghat has finally come to an end and is all set to hit the theaters on February 11.

Director Sajid Khan refutes any such talk, “I am still writing the script of ‘Housefull 2’. The cast will only be finalised after I am done with the script.”

Sneha rocks in Bollywood

The latest passenger from Kollywood to get a ticket to Bollywood is Sneha. The smiling beauty of Tamil cinema has been roped in for an upcoming Hindi movie, to be directed by Revathy Varma.

Sneha will play Naseeruddin Shah’s wife in the film titled ‘Mad Dad’. Popular Bollywood actress Ayesha Takia will play her daughter. “It is a challenging role and I love being part of the film,” she says.

According to Revathy Varma, Sneha’s looks in the film will be in 1980s style. “Sneha is a talented actor. She can perform any role with ease. This is the reason behind selecting her for the role,” the director says.

Sneha, who was last seen in ‘Bhavani’, is currently acting in ‘Vidiyal’, ‘Ponnar Sankar’ and ‘Murattu Kaalai’ in Tamil. “She has given bulk dates to Mad Dad and is eager to shoot for her maiden Hindi film,” sources close to her say.

Raana paired with Bipasha Basu in Dum Mera Dum

Raana is a Telugu actor who had acted in the film Leader. He is the grandson of the famous Telugu producer T Rama Naidu. Now he has paired with Bipasu Basu in the Hindi film Dum Mera Dum.

The film is to hit the screens next month. There is a news under circulation in Bollywood circles that Bipasu has fallen in love with Raana and because there is a conflict between John Abraham and her.

In between there was also news that Raana was in love with Shreya for the past five years and now Shreya’s parted way with him because of his love for Bipasu. Raana while speaking about this said," There is no truth in these news. I know Shreya from my college days. We are friends for the last 8 years. The news that we are in love is not true. Now they have started linking me with Bipasu Basu. I don’t know whether they are doing this for the sake of the publicity of this film. But I have great respect towards Bipasu. I don’t know from where these rumors are erupting."

Vikram next flick in kollywood with Katrina Kaif

Vikram is wrapping up work on Deiva Thirumagan and is all set to begin work on a brand new exciting project. The film is to be called Karikalan and it will be directed by Kannan who has been responsible for the graphics in director Shankar’s movies. Karikalan is expected to be a mega budget entertainer with impressive special effects.

It is to be produced by Silver Line Film Factory, the makers of the recent Singam Puli. The buzz is that Katrina Kaif will be the heroine as she is said to be perfect for the part and the entire team is keen that she be a part of this project. Harris Jayaraj will do the music.

Shahid Kapoor flying with F-16 aircraft: Indian actor Shahid Kapoor flew an American F-16 fighter aircraft on Saturday at the Aero-India show in Bangalore.

The actor, who plays an Indian Air Force (IAF) officer in dad Pankaj Kapur’s directorial debut Mausam had a thrilling experience of flying the F-16 IN Super Viper by Lockheed Martin, piloted by the American test pilot Paul ‘Bear’ Randall.

It was a 40-minute flight which had its share of turns, loops and tailspins.

“I wanted to get a first-hand experience of flying on a fighter aircraft. Thanks to Lockheed Martin, I have had the privilege of becoming the first actor to fly the F-16. Such an opportunity doesn’t come by as a civilian,” Shahid told the reporters after the flight.

Shahid was clearly overwhelmed by the experience.

“It's a great experience and I learnt how to fly a fighter (plane). Paul (the pilot) gave me lot of tips about flying such an awesome military aircraft and I am thankful to Lockheed Martin,” he said.

We already know that sugar ‘n spice lovebirds Kashmera Shah and Krushna (Govinda’s nephew) have been going through troubled times in their relationship. The latest is that instead of sorting out their differences in private, the couple have opted to be locked-up for a week on the UTV Bindass reality show ‘Love Lockup’ to thrash out their differences.

The more interesting part is that another Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra is entering the show to play narrator to Kashmera Shah and Krushna. Priyanka will give her views on love, life and relationships and try to persuade the couple to stay together. Sounds cool. But we wonder, if Kashmera and Krushna are aware that in her forthcoming film ‘Saath Khoon Maaf’, Priyanka actually marries SEVEN times.

Abhishek Bachchan, who turned 35 today, will be in for a surprise when his friends will land in New Zealand, where he is currently shooting for Abbas-Mustans Players, to celebrate his birthday. “Abhisheks friends plan to fly down to NZ where he is shooting to surprise him. Abbas Mastan have decided to give the unit a break and celebrate his birthday in a big way,” sources said.

For Junior Bachchan, it is going to be like any normal working day but little does he know that his friends will be flying down to New Zealand to indulge him in his favorite adventure sports. “Since he loves adventure sports but hasnt got the time to indulge in them, thanks to his hectic schedule, his friends decided to surprise him by booking an entire day of interesting activities in NZ,” sources said.

All his close ones have planned an entire day of bungee jumping, white water rapids and zorbing since Abhishek is a complete adventure junkie. Friend Sikander Kher and others have left for New Zealand to surprise him. Aishwarya Rai has already reached there to be with her husband on his special day. Players, a remake of The Italian Job, stars Abhishek, Sonam Kapoor, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Bobby Deol and Bipasha Basu.

Bollywood Movie Bodyguard Shooting affect thousands of Locals: The shoot of Salman Khan’s upcoming film Bodyguard at the Pune Okayama Friendship Garden has angered the locals.

The reason for the anger is that the thousands of locals in the area who visit the park on daily basis were not allowed an entry for three days because the garden was booked for the film shoot starring Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor.

Angry over the film shoot in the garden, the Assosiation of Friends of Japan (AFJ) now intends to take up the matter with Pune Municipal Corporation, which gave the permission for the shoot.

According to the members of AFJ, the shoot not just damaged the facilities in the park, but the crew left a litter of garbage after the shoot. It’s a first ever film shoot in the Pune Okayama Friendship Garden.

Bodyguard is produced by Salman’s brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri. It’s a remake of a hit Malayalam film. Kareena plays the daughter of a don and Salman plays her bodyguard.

Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra on Tuesday denied hiding huge sums of money at her residence after income tax (IT) officials recently raided her residences in Mumbai.

While interacting with mediapersons at the promotion of her upcoming flick, ’7 Khoon Maaf’, she said she has never seen such huge amounts of cash. Tax officials had raided the residences of Chopra and Katrina Kaif, on January 24, confiscating bank statements and income tax documents from the homes of the two actresses.

She never went to college, but Kangana Ranaut got the chance to enjoy campus life when she stayed in a Delhi University hostel to prepare for her role in the romantic comedy ‘Tanu Weds Manu’. In the film, Kangana plays a resident student of Delhi University.

The 23-year-old stayed at the PG Women’s Hostel in 2009. The producers arranged for her stay and took the required measures to protect her identity. ‘The character of Tanu is rooted in Delhi University. I stayed there and it helped me in my performance. Till date I am thankful to the girl who hosted me and was my roommate. We ended up becoming friends,’ Kangana, who started working at the age of 16, said. Directed by Anand Rai, ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ will release Feb 25. R. Madhavan plays Kangana’s love interest in the film.

After John Abhrama and Hrithik Roshan, it is Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan’s turn to play the baddie in Yash Rajs superhit franchise Dhoom. Both Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra will reprise their roles of Jai Dixit and Ali. It is Aamirs second film with the banner after Fanaa, where he played a terrorist.

“It is indeed a pleasure to be working with Yashraj once again. Dhoom is a great franchise, most entertaining and full of fun. Everytime I hear the theme tune of Dhoom it brings a swing to my step. “Victors script really won me over and I look forward to working with him, sharing screen space with Jai and Ali, and, of course, working with Yashji and Adi once again,” Aamir said in a statement.

Films producer Yash Chopra said, “I am terribly excited with what an actor like Aamir will bring to Dhoom franchise with his unique star power and level of performance.” Produced by Aditya Chopra and written and directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, the film will begin shooting end of this year and is slated for a 2012 Christmas release. Acharya has also written and directed Tashan.

‘Starting a new film on the 6th called MAXIMUM a serious film, I m playing an encounter specialist n yes finally I am doing a negative role (sic),’ Arshad posted on micro-blogging site Twitter. The 42-year-old was earlier seen in serious roles in films like ‘Seher’ and ‘Kuch Meetha Ho Jaaye’, but got fame in Bollywood thanks to comedies like ‘Munnabhai M.B.B.S’, ‘Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya’, ‘Salaam Namaste’, ‘Golmaal’ series, ‘Lage Raho Munnabhai’ and ‘Dhamaal’, among others.

Aditi Rao lips lock with Arunoday Singh in Yeh Saali Zindagi: Move over Mallika Sherawat, for Arunoday Singh and Aditi Rao have upped the stakes by kissing 22 times in Sudhir Mishra’s upcoming film Yeh Saali Zindagi.

Director Sudhir Mishra believes that a kiss is an aesthetic and natural expression of love. However, he has had to do away with kissing scenes in the past as the actors have been reluctant.

Even though both Rao and Singh were apprehensive of how their families would react, Mishra's directorial experience prevailed and he was able to calm the two.

Arunoday is the grandson of prominent politician Arjun Singh and Aditi Rao Hydari belongs to a princely background. Her grandfather from her mother’s side was Raja J Rameshwar Rao and Sir Akbar Hydari was her grandfather from her dad’s side.

The beautiful Aditi Rao, was seen in a simple role in Rakesh Omprakash Mehra’s Delhi 6. Her Tamil movie Sringaram has won a few national awards, and she has also done the Malayalam ‘Prajapathi’ opposite Mammotty.

In Yeh Saali Zindagi, Aditi Rao is paired opposite Arunoday Singh, and is sharing screen space with Irrfan Khan and Chitrangada Singh.

"Aditi and Arunodoy play a young couple based in Delhi. They kiss every time they quarrel. And they quarrel a lot," says Mishra.
