A R Rahman Second Opportunity To Have Won Nomination For Golden Globe Awards

A.R.Rahman
This is the maestro’s second opportunity to have won the nomination, after he had been honored during the ace director Danny Boyle’s flick Slumdog Millionaire. The movie 127 Hours is reportedly a biopic on the mountaineer Aron Ralston. The great escape of the mountaineer while he was trapped in a canyon for five whole days has been explored in the film.

The storyline then follows the trials and tribulations of the mountaineer when a huge boulder fell on his arm while he was still stuck in the canyon and how he had to ultimately amputate his arm in order to get out of the life threatening experience. This dare devil act in the movie is something which is bound to send a chill down the spine of many people.

The film‘s music has been put in the Original Score for a motion picture category. The other nominationations that competing for the Golden Awards in the same category are Danny Elfman for Alice in Wonderland, Alexandre Desplat for The King’s Speech, Trent Reznor, Atticus Ross for the Social Network, Hans Zimmer for Inception. The 127 Hours soundtrack has a number ‘If I Rise,’ which is collaboration between A.R Rahman and the extremely adored pop star Dido.
